Awareness Transformation Process Overview

Mindfulness is the state of being aware of one’s thoughts, emotions, or experiences on a moment-to-moment basis. Increasing awareness provides the basis for Sample Wellness Practices’ Awareness Transformation Process, which focuses on assessing one’s emotions and beliefs, identifying negative emotions and beliefs and reprograming those negative emotions and beliefs to positive emotions and beliefs. Every individual must develop their own awareness transformation plan to most effectively address their issues and improve wellness. The process does not have to be linear. Individuals can move through and to steps based on their own needs. 

Step One: Skill Inventory

Step One of the Awareness Transformation Process is understanding, practicing and applying certain mindfulness-related skills. These skills—and other mindfulness techniques—can be applied as needed in the Awareness Transformation Process.

 Step Two: Personal Exploration

One of the benefits of mindfulness is better understanding how emotions and beliefs are linked to past experiences, childhood events and familiar tapes. Personal Exploration involves understanding the negative emotions and beliefs that are adversely affecting health and happiness. Start Personal Exploration by watching the ”Who I Am” Mindscape and reading the ”Who I Am” meditation. Read about overcoming emotions and beliefs, then take the emotions and beliefs inventories. Apply the skills learned in Step One, (meditation, journaling and tapping), identifying emotions and beliefs that cause negative feelings and thoughts. Use the Emotions and Beliefs Worksheet to explore these negative emotions and beliefs to rescript them with positive emotions and beliefs.

 Step Three: Affirmations to Change Awareness

Once positive emotions and beliefs have been identified and introduced, positive affirmations direct change to awareness to improve health and happiness. The affirmations involved in practicing gratitude, forgiveness and personal growth provide a solid basis to change awareness. Repeated exposure to positive affirmations change the mental terrain, encouraging positive feelings and thoughts while averting negative feelings and thoughts.

 Step Four: Overcoming Stress Program Triggers

Even when negative emotions and beliefs have been transformed to generate positive feelings and thoughts, certain situations can can set off an avalanche of negativity.  Step Five: Clearing Your Energy Field

The final step of the Awareness Transformation Process is to maintenance positive energy by clearing your energy field. Healthy and celebratory activities such as yoga, walking, cycling, singing and dancing are great avenues to regularly clear your energy field. The below activities are suggestions for additional actions that you can take to clear your energy field.
